Question PC Tower Died. Loose wire. Don’t know where it goes

Hi,

After a few years of service, my PC tower just stopped working. When I looked inside, I saw two twisted yellow wires coming off, what I believe is a 10 pin connector on the motherboard. The wire is putting out 12 volts.

When I power up the computer, I can hear the hard drives move, but nothing else does - not even the CPU or case fans. I tried a different power supply, but that’s not it. Perhaps if someone can tell me where that bundle of two yellow wires go, it might start working again.

Thanks in advance!

Could provide system specs and pictures of what might be the problem and see if anyone has any ideas but think the best course of action would be to see a computer store to have it looked at in person.

If yellow wires did belong to atx power on motherboard which is usually 24pin, 10pin sounds like proprietary plug used on an oem system, it may have caused a short to the motherboard. Was the other psu ordered by you for this specific model of pc? Sorry there's not enough information to go on.
