On christmas day i purchased an MSI Gaming 3 Motherboard and an Intel i5-4690k, i installed them straight away into a new computer case and wired everything up correctly. i turned it on and it worked like a dream and for the next few days i had absolutely no issues!
However, i noticed the Stock intel fan was really loud and sounded like a mini jet engine so i went straight out and bout a Corsair H55 AIO watercooler. When i got home i installed it immediately with seemingly no issues so i powered on my PC and used it for the rest of the day with no problems. However the morning after, i woke up and tried turning on my PC and for some reason it wouldnt boot... it would turn on for about 2 seconds and then turn straight back off and it would do this over and over again repeatedly until i unplugged my power supply. after taking everything apart and building it again and even resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery it booted up fine and i was able to use it again for the rest of the day.
The following morning the previous problem repeated itself and it turned on then turned of repeatedly without even getting to POST.
I have tested the CPU, PSU, RAM, GPU and HDD and they all work perfectly fine, which leaves only the motherboard as the culprit. But what i dont understand is the computer can actually boot up if i take everything apart and put it back together again but it doesnt work when its been turned off and on again.
if anyone has and advice as to what the problem could be it would be massively appreciated!
