[SOLVED] PC Turning off, no warning, no errors

Built a PC last year, hadn't tested it with anything taxing until BF 2042. Now I've been having "crashes". My PC shuts down, no warning, no blue screen, no error upon start-up (other than that it was an unexpected shutdown). Originally, I thought it was my GPU overheating, but I've noticed crashes from anywhere from 88C to 98C on the memory. So, I don't believe this is the origin of the shutdown, simply a piece correlating.

I did recently upgrade my monitor from a 1080p to a 1440p as well, and believe this may be another contributing factor, potentially just due to the increased draw from the GPU. Although, I'm not certain of this. I was hoping someone could take a look and see if anything stands out to them that could be causing this.

I've been running GPU-Z to try and identify where the issue is originating. I have a hunch (my first item listed), but I'm not super hardware savvy. I will add, I purchased an APC battery-backup thinking perhaps my homes electrical was an issue. This hasn't been triggering at all, I don't believe this is the origin of my issue either.

Wish I had a way to make these more easily readable, but I'm at a loss here. Any insight would be much appreciated.

My most recent crashes the TDP was anywhere from 83% to 97%.

MOBO: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS ATX
GPU: 3080 Founder Edition.

Also have an AIO for my CPU which has been just fine at about 55-60c under load of BF2042.

After the shutdown, do you have to flip the switch at the back of the PSU or disconnect the PSU from the wallsocket?

Motherboard BIOS fully up to date?
Yes to flipping the switch, I've noticed my headset volume seems to make a noise about 3-4 seconds after flipping switch to off. Then that signals me that it's reset, and I can flip back to on to turn the PC on. If I flip the switch to off, and immediately back on. The PC won't start.


Also yes to BIOS being updated.

It may be for overheating. this is one of the most common reasons for your computer to shut down .


That's what i was thinking. Again, I'm definitely not that hardware savvy. The PSU doesn't have a way to communicate that to the rest of the system, does it? I may test it under load and see if the PSU fan kicks on. It had been off most of the time. But that was before the 1440p monitor, the more modern and poorly optimized game.
