[SOLVED] Pc turning solid colors?

Hello everyone I don't really know how to explain this but my computer screen has been turning into random solid colors sometimes.
Granted it only happened two or three times but I would like to understand why? It's like I've been on discord or watching youtube and the screen turns a random solid color. I can still move my mouse for a little while but I can't see anything.

I tried alt-tabbing and it seems to work but it keep the color and the colors seem to be like the lastest colour on the monitor... The only way to make it work is just to restart it again by holding the button to turn on\off.

If someone know something let me know.

ASRock Radeon RX 5700 Challenger D 8G OC
ryzen 5800x
asus prime x470 pro
PSU be quiet! Dark rock pro 4

i've seen both malfunctioning monitors and graphics cards with similar issues.

try a different display with this system
and try a different output with this display(game console, cable box, anything HDMI or DP)
to narrow down which is actually having this issue.

I could try switching the ports, but its gonna be hard to track the issue down because it happens really out of nowhere, like it happened today when I had Valorant opened with some other programs but i wasnt playing, it happened whenever it is not understress as well sooo and its like the fourth time it happens but will switch ports and see if it helps at all ty for the info

AH BTW because today when I had valorant opened and was on youtube and talking with a friend in teamspeak it crashed with a solid color but I could still hear him but I couldnt do anything else... maybe monitor? The only other monitor I have doesnt have dp or hdmi hahahha

if the system itself crashes then it is not related to the display.
a monitor or other display device has no way to disturb your system's hardware or crash the OS.

are you sure it was an actual crash and not that you just couldn't see anything but this solid colored panel?

Yeah I need to see what it is, I could still hear the guy on teamspeak and speak but I couldn't do anything that's why I am assuming the monitor, if the pc crashed like you I was saying i would be able to hear nothing or talk or anything that's why I was thinking the display might be at fault then...

And yeah i do have 1 tv but moving it from the living room to my room isnt really realistic, if i could make this error happen again somehow i would but its completelly random... I guess I should stick to basics and if it does the same thing again, just first restart monitor, if that doesnt work switch cable ports if that doesnt work trying the tv like you said soo I will try that and update you whenever it happens again

fo this with the monitor plug in to gpu top slot use gpu-z rendering option and stress gpu do the same with gpu in the other pci-e slot and see ifcolor goes to plain one on test report result .
