I had this happen about 3 months ago. So changed my power supply and bought another one. But again, the same problem started reappearing. The CPU temperature is fine. I tried changing PSU cables, sockets, ram, graphics cards and cleaned the entire PC, but no avail.
Specs
Motherboard: Gigabyte H61M S2PV
Power supply: Corsair CX550(bought 3 months ago)
Processor: I3 3220
GPU: Sapphire R7 265
Fan: Intel stock fan

does it turn off if you stay in bios? safemode?
It doesn't even turn on now. It just lights up, fans move, dead. Doesn't even attempt to restart.

Just go to whatever web shop you're familiar to and look for a mobo that support I3 CPU and your RAM. If not possible, then you may consider an upgrade package containing mobo+cpu+ram.
I turned it on yesterday and immediately went into bios. It says that my CPU temperature is 53 on idle. Is that normal?
