So I recently bought a new case off of newegg the Rosewill Thor V2 and thought why not upgrade some parts as well so i buy a new Motherboard ASUS PRIME Z370-A II LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard and a new Liquid cool problem is when i plug the cpu into the MB from the PSU it turns on a little red light flashes next to the (CPU) letters and idk what could be wrong everything is plugged in correctly

Solution
Foremost, you should not have the PSU plugged into the wall until the pc is assembled and you are ready for power. I hope nothing was damaged.

As for the CPU issue, just because it is the same socket does not mean that it will run your processor.
This motherboard will run 8 and 9th gen Intel cpu's

Here is your motherboards' supported CPU's list: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z370-A-II/HelpDesk_CPU/
