So to turn on my PC as of now I have to hold the power button for it to power. At first it would power up and not do anything and than power down 3 times. Than the last time it would power on and my monitors and keyboard and mouse would all light up. Than again it would just die.

I went and bought new ram and new PSU and same thing. Than for some reason I change the little battery on my MB and now if I hold the power button it will start everything (monitors-keyboard-mouse) and than it still dies.

Took out the new ram and PSU and still only powers the one time and for about one min.

I did have a big storm the other day and I kinda think that might have done something but not sure. My surge protector never flipped but who knows.

I am also able to get into my bios for that little bit of time but it still just dies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Both PSU are Corsair Cx750m. The second one I tried is brand new.
Gpu - evga gtx 1070 ftx
CPU - i7-7700k
MoBo - asrock z270 killer sli
Ram - ddr4 3200

The whole computer is pretty old but I was just using it on Wednesday

Take out your GPU from the system and plug your monitor to MoBo. Look if you can keep the PC running for longer.

Corsair Cx750m
At best, mediocre quality PSU. Only good enough for office PC without dedicated GPU.
For your build, not good enough build quality PSU. I'd use Seasonic Focus/PRIME or Corsair RMx/RMi/HX/HXi/AX/AXi instead.

took the GPU out and still same thing. Turns on for about a min and than turns off.
I’ve used this PSU for years now with no problem.

Well, now you have a problem.

At this point, one of the three, or all of them, are dead: CPU, MoBo, RAM.

Also, when using inferior PSU, it can send out of spec voltages to the hardware, damaging them over time, until the point of failure. <- This is the most likely option as of what happened.

MoBo is usually 1st to go when paired with inferior PSU. So, look towards MoBo replacement. Or better yet, new CPU-MoBo (and perhaps DDR5 RAM) combo. You'd get more for your money with new CPU-MoBo combo.

Few words;
i5-13600K isn't Core i7 as you had, but 13th gen Core i7 costs far more, making Core i5 far better value. Also, K-series for CPU OC (if you're into that).

MoBo is solid one from MSI. Has plenty of features and sleek, all black design. Also, MoBo supports DDR4 RAM, so you can re-use yours.

Had to include CPU cooler as well, since i don't think your i7-7700K CPU cooler supports LGA1700 socket (too old of a CPU cooler). But if you have Noctua air cooler, you should be able to get LGA1700 mounting bracket for it, given it's one of the big boy air coolers. If you have AIO, getting bracket for LGA1700 socket is far more difficult (if not impossible).
Note: NH-D15S is 160mm tall. So, check if it fits in your PC case.

The combo above can be changed any way. E.g make it cheaper or more expensive (with better CPU). Change CPU cooler etc.

Also, knowing what you do with your PC would help. Since e.g if you're casual gamer and/or use PC to surf the web, i3-13100, i5-13400 or i5-13500 would be better options (cheaper too). But if you 3D render and use PC as workstation, better to look towards Core i7 or even i9. i5-13600K is the golden/middle path of 13th gen lineup.

Honestly all I do now is play some cod (rarely) wow (mostly) and maybe some Fortnite or Random game here and there.

I have a cooler master hyper 212 evo.

My last question would be, would it be better to just save more money and just get a whole new pc? At some point I would have to upgrade GPU also.

With these games, i5-13400 would suffice just fine. Heck, you can even get away with i3-13100 since it's better than your old Core i7,

Poor cooler. Slightly better than Intel/AMD stock cooler but not much. With this, i'd go with new CPU cooler as well.

Depends.

Can you live without your PC until you have enough money for full build?
