Okay I recently replaced my motherboard and CPU in my system so my current specs are:
AMD FX 8350
Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
12gb ram
MSI R9 290x 4gb Gaming edition
1tb Hard drive and a LG blu ray player.
Everything was working fine until I replaced my motherboard and CPU I did a fresh install of windows and now everytime I try and load a game it just crashes out straight away. My pc then won't turn on until I power everything down wait for the green light on the motherboard to turn off. From what I could find in my event logs I can just see the usual kernal power event 41 message or whatever it is which from what I gathered online meant that my psu wasn't up to scratch. at that point it was a 550w I can't remember what brand from what I found out online 569 wats is recommended from my system.
So I went out and bought a Tesla 650W 230V Silent Operation PC Power Supply Unit but I am still having the same issues so I assumed that it was still not powerful enough.
I went to a local pc store today to see if they had a 750w psu thinking that it's still not powerful enough when he told me why I thought that it wasn't powerful enough I explained the situation to him and he said it sounds like it was the graphics card or cpu overheating and that the pc wouldn't turn on properly without enough power.
Help I have no idea what to do now, someone asked me to download some blue screen viewer to get a more detailed error code but when I loaded it nothing showed up at all.
It doesn't matter what game as soon as I start to load it will either turn off straight away or it will load up for a couple of seconds a few mins at most before doing the same and I have to power down before I can turn it back on.
