Hello! My problem is, that my pc restarts during some games for ex. Gta IV, Ac unity, after 2-3 minutes.

My specs:
Cpu: Intel Core i7 4970K clocked at 4.4Ghz
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2133Mhz DDR3
GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G no oc
PSU: Gigabyte E570

My question would be that what causes the restarts? I tried almost eveything in bios, like enabling XMP and things like that, but nothing had helped. I have also installed all the drivers for chipset, gpu, etc.

Another important thing is that this reboot thingy started since i changed the gpu from a Gigabyte HD6970, to this GTX970. Reboots were also present at the HD6970, but much less. Ohh, and the psu often makes strange noise, like "bbzzz".
Thanks for your answers, and sorry for my english. :)

It may be that your graphics card is trying to draw more power then the power supply can handle, it may also just be because of overheating and can also be caused by strange drivers - try updating your drivers and giving the entire PC a clean inside.

My power supply is a Gigabyte E570.

I have 8GB of ram.

My cpu is 70°C max, the gpu uis 65°C during games, so it think the problem is not because of overheating. I've built it 1 month ago, bought the gtx970 one week ago.

What psu do you recommend? I think Corsair CS750M would be good.

Hi - did find a review of Gig superb 550 on Hardware Secrets;
You should read it, here are some comments from the conclusions:

"We can't understand why when it comes to Power Supplies,
tier 1 Motherboard suppliers offer low end products"

"Superb 550 is a decent low end 450w unit if you pull between 180 and 270 w from it,
on other load patterns it's effeciency is too low"

"And to make things worse, we couldn't pull 550w from it"

"Superb 550 is far from superb, and too expensive for what it is"

This is why you need reviews from reputable review sites.

Doesn't look like either of thes PSU's are worthy of your money.

Thanks. I haven't changed the psu because i thought it would be enough, but now i can clearly see that this is a sh..t. I will buy a new one very soon.
