PC turns off when waking from sleep

Solution
Try turning OFF power management in the bios. Normally, that is off by default on most boards, but it's possible.

Kind of a shot in the dark, but also check that the PC state after power loss setting in the bios is set to normal.

Honestly, this sounds like a motherboard issue to me. But it's worth checking those items first. I've seen stranger things cause issues.

Also, could be a memory issue. Download Memtest86, create bootable media, run it for three passes. Focus will likely be on test 10 which is the memory's ability to resume from sleep without losing data. A bad module could cause the issue you are having as could incompatible settings.

Memtest86 will tell you if there is something not right or something the system doesn't...

Memtest86 will tell you if there is something not right or something the system doesn't particularly "like".
