PC Turns On and Off Multiple Times When Trying to Play Games, Temps Seem Good

When I try to play demanding games, my computer will suddenly turn off and then restart a few times before fully turning off.

I only recently started getting back into gaming, so I don't know when this issue first started.

This seems to only happen with more demanding games like Witcher 3 (I haven't had any issues with Skyrim). About 5 minutes into playing Witcher 3 for example, the computer starts to restart a few times before fully shutting down. It appears as though something causes the PC to restart, but that issue remains so it restarts again before finally staying off.

My specs are as follows:
Mobo: ASRock H97M-ITX
GPU: EVGA GTX 980
CPU: i7 4790
RAM: ADATA XPG (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

My first thought was that this was an issue with high temps, but they look to be good. CPU reaches max of 54C, and GPU reaches max of 68C.

I've tried two different PSU's, and even RMA'ed one without solving this issue.

At this point, I have no idea what to check next.

Solution
Would try the card in another PC if possible, but looks like the culprit is the 980.

Still possible would be the motherboard or even CPU (unlikely).

Or a software/driver/windows update issue, you could try a fresh install of windows with latest drivers or have a look into Ubuntu, if you get the same problem there. But it´s not that easy to run a game on linux. Maybe gputest for Ubuntu can trigger it too. http://www.geeks3d.com/20140304/gputest-0-7-0-opengl-benchmark-win-linux-osx-new-fp64-opengl-4-test-and-online-gpu-database/

It is quite peculiar-any other games it happens with? Also is your pc plugged straight to the wall socket or are you using a powerboard?

Perhaps go all the way with diagnostics and check your disks integrity along with some ram tests (whether you use memtest or windows own utility). Make sure DirectX is up to date along with display drivers.

I've tried playing a few other games to see which ones will cause this issue. Witcher 3 (after about 5 minutes of play) and Shadow of Mordor (after about 20 minutes of play) will cause it, but I haven't yet experienced it in either Skyrim or Doom.

I've already tried plugging my PC directly into the wall socket instead of a surge protector.

No errors on my SSD (according to CrystalDiskInfo) or with my ram (according to the windows utility). DirectX was up to date, but my display driver was a little out of date. I updated to the latest version before testing with the previously mentioned games.

After using DDU to remove the graphics drivers and reinstalling the latest driver from Nvidia, the problem still persists.

Tried running Witcher 3 off of the onboard HD 4600 graphics and I didn't get the restarts, although I was getting around 3-7 frames per second.

Afterwards, I also tried dusting the inside of my PC and re-seating the graphics card to see if that would fix the issue, but the problem still persisted.

I take it this means I should look into RMA'ing my graphics card?
