I just got a new motherboard cpu and ram. I returned my first motherboard for a new one because I thought it was faulty because it had done the same thing of turning on and off but indefinitely, this new motherboard just seems to turn on and off twice before fully turning on.

GPU: Gtx 1060 6gb
CPU: i-7 6700k
motherboard: Asus B360M-A
PSu: Corsair CX750M
RAM: DDR4 2400mhz DDR4

Solution
The motherboard website says the processore (cpu) model socket is LGA1151 which is the same as the i7-6700k, or does that not matter?
To clarify further on this, because it has caused quite a bit of confusion - you're one of many 'victims':
-the 6th and 7th gen cpus that run on 100 and 200 series = LGA 1151.
-8th and 9th gen that run on 300 series = LGA 1151 V2. For reasons unknown, Intel left that out of the product specs.
