Hello all,

I built my own PC last February and it worked fine until this afternoon when I tried to turn it on and nothing happened. So I did a little looking around and after turning off the power supply and turning it back on, my PC starting booting and then seconds later it shuts off. I took my PC apart to look inside and I cleaned off some dust, adjusted the cables and tried again. The same issue keeps happening. I can get it to turn on for a few seconds, but anything long enough to actually start using my PC doesn't work, it just turns off. I'm worried because Windows was trying to recover when it turned off last time.

That being said, I would gladly appreciate any help or feedback on what might be the issue. I'm thinking it is the power supply because I have had no other issues up until this.

And to show you all my build...

Intel i5-3470 Processor
ASRock Z77 Pro3 Motherboard
HIS Radeon HD 7750 2GB Video Card
Corsair XMS3 8GB RAM (2 x 4gb)
Thermaltake TR2 700W Power Supply

Any help is greatly appreciated! My parts are still within warranty, but honestly if it is the power supply I would rather go buy a new Corsair one because I tried getting in touch with Thermaltake all day and couldn't.

I'd be curious about this as well. My PC (much older) did the same thing. I put in a new PSU, and about a month later it did it again. I would try turning on and off the power supply a few times a day, and after about 2 weeks, it finally worked. That was about 2 weeks ago, and now I don't shut it off, just put it to sleep. Oddly enough, it's now running quieter than I ever remember.
