Every now and then when I turn on my PC my monitor says no HDMI signal detected. Usually if I turn it off and on again a few times everything is normal and I can use my PC. Sometimes it boots perfectly, and sometimes I need to restart like 10 times. This has been going on for a few months and I've read multiple threads but most of them are very general, and did not solve my problem.

Here's some changes I made to my setup around the time this problem came up.
- Installed Linux along side Windows 10.
- Changed my monitor (ASUS VG245H)
Problem first happened after a power outage when I turned on my PC again. However, I don't think a power-surge occurred.

I have absolutely no problems when my PC actually turns on and boots. It boots perfectly fine after sleep or restart, it only has this problem after I completely shutdown the system.

Any idea what's going on?

Thank you

Yes, I have a Maximus 6 Hero and its got the debugging codes, but there isn't really anything unusual about them. It just says A2 which means IDE Detect, according to the manual.

Do you have any alternate cables you can use as well as a different port from your graphics card you can connect with? Seems that people in the past have either had an issue with their storage devices or an issue with the cable/port.

So for example, try a different HDMI cable in the same port (or a different port) or use another type, like a DVI or DP.

Yeah, I tried doing that but I still had the same issue.
