So just today I bought a new case, and ssd for my system. I moved all the parts from my old system and simply relocated them into the new case.
Now I've never done anything like this before, but I made sure that I wasn't building static while working, that I wasn't forcing anything into place, etc.
So once everything was in place, I wanted to install windows 10 onto my new ssd, so I unplugged the hdd and hooked up the ssd so it is now the only storage device connected. Apart from that, none of my parts changed.
I connected my monitors hdmi to my graphics card, as well as the keyboard, mouse, power, everything I needed, and pressed the on button.
The LED lit up, and all the fans were spinning, but there was no image on the screen. At all. I let it sit for about ten minutes, but with nothing still, I pressed the power button again, but it didn't turn off. Eventually, I had to just turn off the power from the psu. I tried again and again, but with nothing, so here's what I've tried so far:

- I took out the CMOS battery for five minutes and plugged it back in.
- I disconnected all hardware except for the processor and psu.
- I tried the on board VGA.
- I connected my laptop to the monitor, and it worked, so the monitor isn't broken.
- I disconnected the ssd and tried connecting my hdd again.

None of these worked for me. I've read that my most likely issue is the mobo, but is there any other possibility or solution? Have I seriously messed up by doing something stupid? Everything was working fine before I moved cases. I really don't want to have to get a new mobo just yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

TL;DR: I moved cases and now my PC doesn't display anything on my still working monitor.

I hope i'm understanding you dinklebread :)

If you just had an empty SSD in your system and tried to boot to it then yes of coarse you would just have a blank screen. You must first set priority in Bios to boot to your installation Media on DVD or USB. Booting to your installation media would then give an output to the monitor.
Then you can install your OS.
