Hey so I have a gaming pc, I recently upgraded my ryzen 3 2200g cpu to a ryzen 5 2600 since I have an RX570 gpu now. I sold the 2200g and recently, the 2600 just arrived. I first checked if it has any bent cpu pins and there is none. I put it in my motherboard and pc turns on (rgb case fans, gpu fans, cpu fans) but there is no POST. My motherboard has no debug leds or any of that so I have no idea what is causing the issues. Anyways, here are the troubleshooting I did:

Reseated ram
Reseated GPU
Checked if all power cables are plugged in properly and they are.
Cleared CMOS and even replaced it.

I suspect it's the motherboard since I have a pretty cheap biostar A32m2 mobo and if you check on their cpu support website, there is no Ryzen 5 2600 on the cpu support list. I'm now suspecting the motherboard but I have no spare parts to test with, I'm planning to get my pc to a repair shop but any insights will be much appreciated.

That motherboard does support the 2600; you need to update the BIOS first. To do this you need to source an older CPU that the motherboard's current BIOS supports. Then follow the .pdf on Biostar's support page.

Yeahh, about that, there's only a single bios file on this specific board, there are no further bios versions released after the bios that comes stock with the board.

There's this one listed
A32FSB06.BSS AGESA ComboAM4 PI 1.0.0.6A update-

AGESA code is newest one for Ryzen and CPU compatibility lists 2000 and 3000 series Ryzen as compatible with it-

Didnt know AGESA is necessary for these kind of chips, will definitely update the bios. Thanks for the help!
