Question PC turns on but no signal.

I tried plugging both (separate times) my hdmi and dp to the gpu and the motherboard. First try got me nothing. Took the tower down and unplugged everything and put it back. Found the CPU cooler/fan loose. tightened that. got signal but CPU temp was 100c. Took tower panel off and tightened the cpu fan. It was working (not sure if it was before) but now im not getting any signal again? Could this be a power supply issue or a cpu cooler issue? or hopfully not a cpu or motherboard problem. please any help would be great.

Hi adigrius Always best to list your full system specs with this sort of issue.

OK so that eliminates the monitor from the equation and I think it could still be an issue with the HSF
Have you now over tightened the cooler(finger tight) and what TIM are you using?
If it's an Intel CPU and the above proves fruitless then remove the HSF and check for bent pins in the MB socket.
