Pc turns on but nothing shows or happens

I recently built a computer and I did manage to have it work for an hour or so. Then after I restarted while installing drivers it no longer worked. It would tell me "No Signal". At first the computer didn't work either, then I fiddled a bit and it worked. Now there are no lights on the Motherboard and the lights that indicate the power on in the case don't come on either. My specs are:
CPU: AMD FX-8120 3.1GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (Actually i ended using the fan that came with the processor)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power
I also have a GX 550W Cooler Master Power Supply that my friend gave me but that didn't work.
I think the problem might be how the power supply hooks up to the motherboard but I'm not sure.
Any help would be great.

That PSU is overkill for that sistem, its too much.Haha. How could you get that PSU, when your sistem needs minimum 500W PSU? Better get a new PSU something from Seasonic or XFX. I would recommend getting this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207029 .
