Pc turns on for 1-3 secs, then off, then on but no boot

Previously my mobo has pop sound followed by burnt smell after screw directly without using standoffs.

So I tried to fix it, breadboarding, reset cmos, bought new mobo, new psu, used other rams, but still same scenario. I haven't tried to test cpu as I have no spare.

My specs are
Mobo: biostar tpower i45, bought new, asus p5qle
Cpu. Core2quad q8400
Ram: 4x 2gb and 4x 1gb ddr2 old ram
Gpu: palit gt 610 2gb
Psu. 650watts, bought new 600watts
Storage. 80gb sata and ide

Since you changed everything except the CPU, it's logical to assume that your CPU is dead. That pop sound and the burn smell was created by a sort circuit that fried both your board and CPU. I'm sorry.

So I bought new cpu. It worked along with the new mobo plus my current 8gb ram. Should I also try my new cpu in my old mobo to see if it still works?

I just tried it and luckily my new cpu wasn't fried. Apparently both my old mobo and cpu were fried but my 8gb wasnt.
