Hi, I really need help. I installed some new Arctic p12 argb fans and after I connected the leds and powered on the pc, bad smell came out and everything went off, I tried powering on the pc but it was on for a second then went off again.
I read that the motherboard capacitors burnt. My motherboard still has warranty but is there something else I can do about it? Im 14 and I dont wanna tell my parents that I just broke my new pc. Please help

Specs:
Gigabyte H510M H
GTX 1660S
i3-10105f
some 600w psu from SilentiumPC idk
16gb 3200mhz ram

I did remove them but still nothing I know I will sound stupid but I connected them to rgb slot. Because I didnt know they are actually a-rgb earlier because it said they are rgb on website I bought them (x-kom.pl)

Magic smoke from a mobo is very bad news. Bite the bullet and confess your sins. The motherboard is probably dead.

Like the rest of use, you're learning from your mistakes. I've made plenty, but I try not to repeat them (and sometimes fail). In future, read up on other people's adventures, before trying anything new. The more you research in advance, the less chance of things going wrong. It could save you a lot of money and grief.

I took one look at the RGB headers on my new mobo and gave up. Too many conflicting standards (probably only two). My computer case has no side windows anyway, so there's no point in fancy lighting.
