pc turns on no display followed by 5 beeps

PC turns on but there is no display so I installed the speaker and it beeped 5 times. From what I've read it has something to do with the ram but I reinstalled it multiple times but I still get the same issue. I made sure everything was connected. Parts were bought 2 days ago, the pc was just built.

now this is where it gets tricky, are they 5 long beeps or 5 short beeps ?

5 short beeps is a CPU error, inspect the socket for bent pins to start with.

5 Long beeps is RAM location error, try 1 stick of ram, try 1 stick in all slots, 4 sticks is a lot to ask the system of on first post before youve configured the bios, if you only have locking clamps on one side of the ram slots, make sure you push the ram into the non locking side first, then push it into the actual locking side, double check to make sure its seated in the slot firmly both ends.

5 beeps is a CPU error, post your system specs please, motherboard, ram, CPU make and model.
