Pc Under Performing

Hi Guys,

I have a problem, My pc i have atm is no beast but i can't help but feel it could and should be performing better then what it is.

AMD Sempron 2800+ 754 1.6Ghz (O.C)2.00Ghz
1.5GB Ram DDR3200
NV 7600GT 256 128 GDDR3 AGP


I play something old like....BF1942 and it lags?? Or cod4 witch before you say my pc isn't good enough for i no but i have seen a old p4 with a 6600gt play it smooth as hell??

I just feels really slow when i think it should be faster.

There is a 6 pin connector on the GPU but works fine with out it plugged in, and the same with it in, there is no deference.

I also have a 250w psu could that be the problem? under powered?

Its a SEMPRON.... thats your problem...and that GPU doesnt help.... time for a new build....

i can't really afford anything atm because im no longer working that's the thing :/

Its not the psu by the way (bad as it is)

The ONLY cheap way to increase speed is more ram....try and get to at least 3 gb preferably 4....

If you want to go further but keep the mobo and cpu...then its graphics card next ...then psu if the card wont run on a 250...

Thats about it I am afraid...
