Hey guys,

I've put this under Windows 10 because the problem started happening soon after I upgraded but I've "Reset this PC" and did a clean installation but the problem persists.

So, basically, certain things become unresponsive after trying to play a demanding game (such as For Honor or Rainbow Six: Siege). Enslaved, for example, runs fine.

The vast majority of the time the game doesn't even load and if it does, I get 2 minutes gameplay before a freeze.

When this happens the Task manager and Task bar are unresponsive and I am unable to access harddrives but accessing a browser and watching youtube is fine.

The wallpaper often changes to a blue background with green dots too.

I've updated all necessary drivers.

Specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

GeForce GTX 970

Intel core i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30 GHz

12288 MB RAM

I've a picture of the background but there's not much more to how I described it.

Any help would be vastly appreciated.

Solution
Hi,

Make sure the cord/cable going from the GPU to the monitor is secure, on both ends. Unplug them and plug them back in. Try another cable if you have one.
