Question Pc unresponsive

Hi, hopefully someone can help me. My pc has an issue where as everything becomes unresponsive...its not like a normal freeze i can still move the mouse but programs wont open and when i try to restart or switch the pc off nothing happens. It happens when i not even working on it, is it possible that it could be faulty RAM?

MY specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 2x8Gb 2666
MB: Gigabyte AORUS B450 Elite
GPU: AUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 super
PSU: Corsair VS550
SSD: Crucial BX500 480GB
OS: Windows 10

What version of Windows 10(assuming you're on Windows 10) are you working with? If this was a hardware issue, your mouse would've locked up, as well as the entire system.
