Pc upgrade? £150 budget

Hello everyone! I am currently stuck on what to upgrade on my pc. I have a i3-3240, 6gb of ram and an Gtx 660 with a 500gb hard drive. 720p monitor
(Need details feel free to ask)

I come to forums today to ask what would be the best upgrade for a noticeable change to my gaming experience (games like csgo, minecraft, Rust)

Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Probably cpu, but since if they hold the same price of 100$~ i5-4460 to i7 300$~ its generally an dead end unless you find a deal.

Other look for SSD for windows of 120GB and full 8GB (since you didnt mention which ran you have).

Or possible third, getting 1080p monitor.

What cpu would you reckon would be smart to get? I wouldn’t mind spending 150 straight on one as I can just upgrade the rest in future

Well I've been running i3-4170 for 2 years and it was kinda good experience, but the issues started when I wanted to play a bit cpu intensive games, like Far Cry.

Which motherboard do you have? I've seen now that it is 1155 socket, there are good options with CPU.

3570s go for £50 on ebay.

Not a bad buy at that, just buy from a decent trusted seller.

PS. I tought it was 1150 cause of the i3 xp mb.

. H61M-DS2 DVI is motherboard, I also just got given 2 sticks of 4 GB DDR3 RAM, not sure on brand yet or clock speed. Current Ram is 6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24) one 4gb one 2 gb both by crucial technology. Havent looked at 3670 will do now, any other suggestions?
