Hi guys, I built a PC last summer with an fx8350 and asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0. I got the 2 for £180 when each had been selling new for £150 so I thought it was a good deal and went for it. I paired this with a 380 and had a great gaming experience. Last week my PC was running fine, I left the room for 20 minutes and came back to a black screen. I've tested the gpu, cpu, and ram work so I believe the motherboard is at fault here. A red boot device led shows whether I have both drives or no drives attached and I can't get it to post so any tips on that would be great thanks.

The main reason I'm on here though is all about that fps per dollar. I've got £250 and am not sure if I should sell my cpu and upgrade to Haswell, sell my cpu and ram to upgrade to skylake, or just buy a cheap motherboard new or second hand for my 8350. Any suggestions welcome but I'm not sure if the upgrade is worth it or not. Thanks

First things first - make sure that it's really motherboards fault. You had a great gaming experience so if I were you I'd just replace faulty part and enjoy my gaming :)
