Hi,

I'm gonna be upgrading my "old" computer that I mostly use for gaming.

I currently only feel like changing Motherboard/CPU (+cooler)/Ram as well as getting a SSD (currently only have HDD).

I will change the GPU at a later date since it's the part I last upgraded on my current PC.

Here's my upgraded build :

Notes :

  • ■ I picked 2 SSD (just for comparison) but will actually only buy one (and use my old HDD as 2nd storage)

    ■ The RAM I chose is the cheapest available in my country (Switzerland) so don't bother suggesting a cheaper one sold on Newegg.

I've got a few questions :

  • ■ Has my PSU enough power for this upgrade ?

    ■ Will I be able to do some mild OC-ing ?

    ■ Is my old case fine ? (It should be from what I've seen)

    ■ Thoughts regarding SSD choice ? From what I read the Intel 660p seems to be using a more recent technology and so is faster at the expense of some endurance (which shouldn't matter so much for gaming as I don't install that many games), so I'm headed toward this one.

Thank in advance for your comments & advices !

The cooler included with the 2600 is fine. I wouldn't purchase one unless you want a top end cooler over $50. You can overclock some with the included cooler. The Intel SSD will perform great, you wouldn't notice and difference between the two. The PSU is fine for this setup. Case should be fine.
