[SOLVED] PC upgrade compatibility issues?

I'm getting fairly close to pulling the trigger on an upgrade for my current system. I'm still rocking with the i7-4790k and I feel it's time to jump to a 12th gen processor. I've got a 3070 so I'm good graphics card wise.

This is what I'm thinking about as far as upgrades go (Open to suggestions, but I want to stick with Intel). Lots of gaming at 1440p as-well as programming/college.

A compatibility flag on the website tells me that the selected motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but my current PSU does not. I do not plan to overclock. Even if I do though, it would be very slight.
I'm hoping I don't need to go out and buy a new power supply. It's not that my budget doesn't allow it but I haven't had this one for long (within the last year, got it with the 3070).

All good, just need the psu to be beefier a little bit, 750 would be ok, since the 12700K does draw big power on load. or you could just buy the non K or the F version that does not have any intergrated graphics.

just remember to fresh install windows.
