Hello, I'm upgrading my PC system from Haswell to Skylake.. This is my current system

CPU - Intel i5-4460
MOBO - Gigabyte - GA-Z97-HD3
GPU - XFX R9 280X 3GB
PSU - EVGA 220-GS-0550-V1
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2x8) DDR3 1600

I was wondering.. can I keep the PSU and the GPU? are they compatible with Skylake? also can I keep the RAM? at least until I can buy a pair of 8GB DDR4 2133?

This is what I'm going to upgrade to

CPU - Intel i7-6700K
MOBO - MSI Z170A PC MATE
RAM - G.SKILL NT Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133

Will GPU and PSU work with this new build? Appreciate your wisdom

Solution
PSUs are compatible between just about everything. Skylake uses less power, so you should be fine. You cannot use DDR3 desktop RAM with Skylake. The GPU will work but you will hit a nasty bottleneck. You could Crossfire it with another GPU as a budget option or upgrade to a GTX 970 or R9 390.
