Hey guys,
i'm looking to upgrade my PC when the new card is released (supposedly May right?).
Currently i have:
GTX680
i5-3570 3.4GHz
ASRock z77 motherboard
Corsair CX600M PSU
16Gb ram ?? speed (1800 maybe)
Cougar back mid tower
250G SSD
1 TB HDD
2 TB External
24" Asus ~5ms (1080)
I want to upgrade to the GTX1080 when it comes out, and maybe just do a new computer all together and sell my current one, or should i just upgrade my current PC? The biggest issue with this is that the 680 is already almost too big for my case, i looked at a 980 which is 1/2 inch larger and didn't want to try to shove it in and see if it would fit. I know i could just get a new case but i kind of just want to upgrade it all.
So first off, sell and start new or upgrade current PC?
Approximate Purchase Date: May/June 2016
Budget Range: ~1200 before GPU (flexible, hoping to do 4k gaming with ease for years to come)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly gaming
Are you buying a monitor: Currently have a 24" that works great, shouldnt need replaced
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: www.pcpartpicker.com to spec it out and see the prices
Location: Near Cleveland, OH (prefer online shopping lol)
Parts Preferences: Prefer intel and nvidia obviously, i want to keep most parts name brand as well, don't trust the cheap stuff unless there's a good reason to.
Overclocking: Maybe (would need some explanation, probably would check it out but my current chip isnt setup for it)
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution:1920x1080 (need to get a 4K monitor), don't need a 3 monitor setup, i will be connecting it to my TV and old monitor possibly though.
Additional Comments: If i look at a new case (checked out wall mounting and that's too much work/hassle to get it to look good), i prefer black with green LEDs (green keyboard and mouse from Razer currently)
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Starting to hit the wall with my current GPU, running witcher is more on med/high, fallout isnt maxed out either
Let me know what you think and what you would do. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!
The easiest method is to paste the label on one line and then paste the link below it.
