So I currently have an intel pentium g4560 and I want to upgrade. I can afford a i7 7700k however the delivery is 1-2 months as I can only buy from amazon (using some gift cards as well) so i dont really want to wait that long with bad stream quality. So my question is are the i7 6700k/ i7 7700 and i5 7600k marginally worse than the i7 7700k or is it a fair difference between them because it means I might be able to save some money as well. I cannot use the coffee lake processors due to it being the wrong chip set and I want to get the best or close enough to the best to maximise the games and the quality of the games I can stream. To my knowledge an i7 would be best because the more threads would just improve quality but I do not know if it will make that much of a difference. I am also open to other processors that will work on the h110m Pro-vd motherboard and will a 400 watt PSU be good enough or will I need to upgrade that as well?

Thank you in advance.

Solution
I agree the math should be the final word:
1. Cost of i7 77xx= A
2. Cost of equivalent 8th gen CPU plus cost of new motherboard= B
If A costs more than B, buy B. If A costs less than B, buy A

I disagree that the 8th gen CPUs are somehow so much better than the 7th gen that people shouldn't consider 7th gen anymore. That one generation jump is evolutionary, not revolutionary. The time that an i7 7700 is no longer good enough is a time that the 8th gen will also not be good enough anymore. Both owners will be needing to buy new motherboards and CPUs.
1-2 months for shipping? That's quite long. Havr you checked other places like NewEgg? Or even BestBuy?

If not the i5 7600k and the i7 6700k will do the job just fine. Even with these models you won't be using your CPU at over 70% load. Pick the one with more cores and threads as Streaming and Recording applications work better with multi-core systems.

Grab whichever i7 is less expensive of those choices. The "K" processors are for overclocking and you do not need to overclock. What you need for game streaming is the threads, 8 threads will do it. If you were buying a latest gen CPU, the i5 with 6 cores and threads would also work, but you don't have that option.

The reason I unselected the answer is because it isn't an answer.
The original poster talks about an 7th series CPU which is the same price as the latest 8th. No reason to go backwards
The 7th Series was put out of comission 9 months after it was made.
Not sure why no one else is giving him the same advice that this is an OLD system that cannot be upgraded.
