PC Upgrade Help!

I have a current PC which was gifted by my dad to me 2 years ago

Now I want to upgrade something in order to play games like Far Cry 4 and Need for speed rivals at at least medium settings @40-60fps

Budget:$100

With $100, you will not be able to get that computer to run Far Cry 4! You're looking at at least a modern i3 with a mid-range graphics card to run that even at low settings.

Need for Speed: Rivals has a minimum requirement of an Athlon II X2 and an HD 3850, which is about equal to your current setup. If you want to run it at medium settings, 60FPS, you should get a new graphics card.

I recommend the R7 260X, it's the best card for that money.

I agree with Woody but also you should consider at some point trying to get another 4gb of RAM and possibly a newer CPU.

If I were you I get parts in this order:

R7 260X
4gb RAM
FX-6300 (after BIOS update)

Afterwards you should be able to run FC4 fairly well.

As it is pretty expensive in India

I wouldn't bother buying just yet. The R7 250 is just about all you can afford, and the performance increase of that over your current card is negligible. I suggest that you save until you can spend 10K on an R7 260X.

Sadly your options are quite limited for that amount of money. Your best bet is to save up and when the AMD 3XX series comes out the 2XX series should (hopefully) drop in price. Release date should be soon.
