Hello i have a pc about 5 years now and it is finally start to have trouble playing the new games..
the specs
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (Gigabyte)
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H77-D3H
RAM : 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
POWER: Corsair TX850M
what do you think i should upgrade first and maybe can i start upgrading my gpu with a gtx 1050 with these specs?? will my pc can handle it?

gpu first the 660 is long in the tooth

get a gtx 1050 ti minimum

gtx 1060 6gb would be ideal

you dont need to change anything else, well a SSD if you dont have one

1050 is too close to a 660, more of a side grade

you want a gtx 1050 ti at least to notice an upgrade

too bad the rx 470's are so overpriced now

this should help you

you want at least three tiers difference to really notice an improvement

maybe you can find a gtx 770 4gb or 280x or 380x for a good price?

look at local listings where you live, might even dfind something good like a gtx 970, or r9 290x for a good price

you have a GREAT power supply, those older more power hungry cards are no issue for you
