[SOLVED] PC upgrade question - MB chipset

Hello,

I am planning to upgrade my pretty old system i5 2500k, 8gb ddr3, gtx1070ti.

I choose the i5 10400F, 16GB DDR2666

but I am concerned about the motherboard. I was thinking about some small one(H410 chipset) cuz it has pretty much all I need but I read something about power limitations.

I want to ask if its okay to go for H410 with this setup(Possible future GPU upgrade) or should I pay a bit more for B460?

B460 boards have higher ram speed possibilities,2 graphics card slots,4 ram slots.If u need any of those things the go for the b460.H410 will work for you setup.

If you ever plan on overclocking, go for B460. If you are not, go with cheaper H410 and then buy fastest memory that your MB supports ( 2933 mhz), i preffer you b460 because it is good investment for the future upgrade, you'll see in the future how useful will be to buy B460.

Cant you only overclock intel cpu if u have a Z motherboard,with a K series cpu?

Actually some you can, sort of.
