Hey guys, I built my PC about two and a half years ago and after being unable to max out recent games, I've decided it's time for an upgrade. I've been thinking of getting an R9 390, but I would appreciate some suggestions from you guys about not only the graphics card but possibly other parts as well. Thanks!

CPU: Intel i7-4770k
Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
Mobo: ASUS Z87-PRO
RAM: 16GB Ripjaws
Storage: 120GB SSD, 2TB Hard Drive
GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition
PSU: Corsair 650W

Nothing to upgrade there in my opinion.
The 7970 is still a good card and you wont get alot by upgrading to a 390.
CPU, Ram, ssd boot drive - all good.

All I can think of is with these currently low ssd prices you might want to grab a 500gb Samsung Evo 850 for $150

If you're going to play the games in the coming two years or so, I would suggest the GeForce GTX 970 which runs much cooler, quieter and requires less power than the R9 390. It can be used for the next 2 to 3 years and to play the latest AAA titles such as, GTA V, Just Cause 3 etc.
Also I would go for a 250 or 240GB SSD since most games nowadays are too huge for a 120GB after installation of OS and other softwares.
Hope this helps!
Good Luck! :)
