So, I have had my PC for around 3 years now and it runs great and by no means do I feel like I have to upgrade it, but was curious to see if there were any suggestions to maximize my PC. I currently run dual monitors with it as well (both 4k and one being 144hz and the other 60hz). I game a lot and play various demanding single player games and also multiplayer. Here are my specs:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-8700K Processor (6x 3.70GHz/12MB L3 Cache)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
SSD: 250GB
HD: 2TB
RAM: 6 GB [8 GB X2] DDR4-2400 Memory Module

Solution
It's tricky like i am not looking to go crazy with it, but looking at like 1k-1.5k with 3080 if possible. Not sure if that is reasonable.
If you go for a 3070 or even a 3080, you might be able to get a Zen 3 X CPU partnered with an X570 for 1.5K.

Like you said, you're playing graphically intense single player games in 4K. No compromises. You're gonna want to be able to render everyone in Night City ;) I know I would.

So what is your max budget? Do you have one? if you don't have any budget I will just build you the best PC you can buy right now for the CPU.

What are you gonna do on that system? Gaming only? Some workstation stuff?

That's one of my problems i feel like my rig may struggle giving Night City the justification it deserves. Good thing is I am planning for the near future so hopefully cyber monday/ black friday have some good deals.
