Hi all, I'm looking to bit by bit upgrade my PC. What do people here recommend I upgrade first? Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz
Motherboard: P7P55D EVO
RAM: 16GB Corsair DDR3
GPU: Radeon HD 5870

I don't really want to spend anymore than £600.

Thanks,

Mike

EDIT: So this is primarily for gaming.

Solution
The i5 is not brilliant, but it'll do. The problem you have is that your ram is probably 1.65V, if it doesn't have a 1.5V profile then you can't use it on a modern system, which means that cpu, mobo and ram needs to be replaced, the GPU is now weak.

So therefore I would get a better GPU, but keep in mind that you will need a new cpu/mobo/ram in the near future to take advantage of the GPU. A 280 or 760/770 would be nice and good for 1080p gaming and give you an immediate boost, upgrading the cpu/mobo/ram first would give you a smaller boost for a larger outlay.

Thanks very much for that. Very helpful

so you can reuse your ram in next build.
you might have enough budget to get a 760/770 and a cpu/mobo combo.
