Question Pc Upgrade with 1070 and 6700K

Hey guys,

I'm looking forward to upgrade my Pc.

This is my current Setup:

Asus Z170-A Mainboard 1151
i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz with Dark Rock Pro 4
Corsair 16GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 1070
1TB HDD und 250 SSD (NoM2) both are up to 90% full so I will also need a new SSD. Thought about a M2 SSD.
I have a big be quiet case, just as PSU but I will change that to modular.

My budget is about 1500€/$
I dont care about the brands
Maybe someone has the joy to help me. I'd be glad!

Is the only planned thing to keep the case?

I can't suggest a high end x570 motherboard, a mid to entry level would e a butter use of the budget. Dropping to a $200-ish mobo might make room for a 2080S or just pocket the savings.

Otherwise I like Flayed's build.

The X570 boards are expensive as supposedly the PCI-E gen 4 support adds roughly 100 to the cost of the board. There are plenty of motherboard reviews around. The MSI Unify board is the cheapest one MSI sell with a very good VRM design. The Asus TUF also has decent VRMs and is more budget friendly. You can also go for B450 Tomahawk MAX which is decent but basic.

for the performance gain its not worth upgrading just get a better gpu and overclock the 6700k
