Question Pc upgrade

Hey guys, I’m new to pc gaming and I’ve jsut built a pc, these are my specs:
CPU: core i3 540
Psu: tx850 corsair
Graphics card: GeForce GTX480
Ram: 8gb hyperx ddr3
Motherboard: DQ57TM
Storage: 1tb hardrive
I was wondering what the best upgrades for each of these sections would be, specifically the CPU and the graphics card, I want to make this pc the best it can be before I build a totally new one. Thank you for the help!

Core i3 540 is very weak. PassMark CPU Benchmark Score can be doubled by using an i7-870.
