[SOLVED] Pc upgrade

Hi guys just a quick question my computers a bit slow when running a couple of games. I do a bit of gaming although the games I play I dont think aren’t that demanding.

I’ve got the r9 270x and the amd 6300 processor so it could be a combination of them. Anyone had experience in this any help would be appreciated.

If you want a cheap upgrade you can look for a i5-3570 or i5-3570k which are pretty cheap Cpu's with good preformance and proof is: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-3570-vs-AMD-FX-6300/m793vs1555 (comparision between the 2 cpus)
and a good gpu upgrade can be a rx 480 or a rx 570

SO say I get then rx gpu, is that compatible with my 6300 or should I do cpu first ?

How much are you willing to spend on upgrades?
To make a decent gaming pc out of it, you'll have to change most of it.

Wasn’t no really looking to spend much because decent it’s decent now just looking for a bit more on the graphics side

For gaming get a better gpu as that's what you need to get more fps

So will a rx570 8gb fit straight in?

Yes but the rx 480 gives more performance and is cheaper, then later down the line you can upgrade your cpu

Not much use in getting a better graphics card with that cpu.
Cpu has to go. New cpu also means new motherboard and ram.
New graphics card most likely will need new PSU.

So - see essentially all pc has to be changed.

Yes that is true but for upgrading only 1 part the gpu will be the best option as the cpu motherboard and ram can cost minimum 130

Yes its not essential just something I’m noticing, just wondered if it was possible, so would you or wouldn’t you purchase the 480 don’t wanna purchase then have to replace more of the computer?

RX 480 requires quality 500W PSU minimum.
Your FX 6300 will severily limit performance of your system.

Would I just upgrade gpu in your situation? Nah. Pointless.

yes, so you purchase now you can play games much better and then when you get the money you can upgrade the cpu mobo and ram but still keep the rx 480 as it is a pretty good gpu for play games noramlly

but what Chris is trying to get is to pay not too much and get a better gaming performance which is what the rx 480 would do

i wouldnt spend more money on a pc thats pretty much worthless in a couple of years. if you want to have a faster experience in general, you could always add an ssd.

EDIT: do note that ssd's don't improve fps by that much, but they do make loading times way faster
