Looking to make some upgrades to my 5 year oldrig, budget is around 1500$. All feedback
appreciated. See current build below. Also is my mobo outdated where it isn’t compatible with new GPUS Ram etc?

Case: CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X GB ATX CASE

GPU: INTEL INTEL 17-7700K BOX

SSD: INTEL 256GB 545 SERIES 2.5 SATA

RAM: CRUCIAL 8GB 2X4 D4 2400 SPLT CL16

Cooling: COOLMAST MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB

GPU: ASUS GTX1070TI ROG STRIX A8G

MOBO: TUF Z270 MARK 2 1151 ATX

Would you be open to doing a full new build except for carrying over your 1070 ti? it's still a really solid card at 1080p. $1500 is tough to fit a whole build with a gpu that is a meaningful upgrade to a 1070 ti.
something like this would be good and then start working on getting a 3070 or better for near msrp. Or a 3060 ti would be a good upgrade if you stay at 1080p

You'll need an LGA1700 board if you plan on going with Intel's new 12 gen cpu's or an AM4 B550 board if you go with AMD.
