Build Advice Pc Upgrade

Hi I need to upgrade my build and I need advices....
Current build:
Intel I5 7600k
Asus Z270 Prime-k
16gb ddr4 ram
Asus TUF rtx 3060
psu Cooler master real power m 520


I wanted to upgrade cpu and motherboard (rtx 3060 is ok for me now). I use pc for gaming of all type (fps mmorpg and moba) in fhd.
I don't know if go for ryzen or intel and if ddr4 or ddr5.

P.S. budget is around 1000 €

What is the make/model of the PSU? If you want a future upgrade path, AM5, if you are just going to buy now, and never upgrade the CPU, 13th gen Intel. I would do DDR5 regardless, at this time.

Sorry i made a mistake... The psu is a cooler master real power m 520 (not 650)....

Yea, that needs to go. It really isn't sufficient for what you have now.

AMD option, for future upgrade path.

Intel is due to release their locked cpu's and B760 boards on January 3rd. I'd look at the i5 13400F (€200 if I had to guess) and a B760 DDR5 board (€170 if I had to guess). Early benchmarks coming out of Asia show that cpu running on par with the 12600K. That cpu has 6 cores and 16 threads.

I would look at a 12th Gen Probably a 12600K with a Z690 board and 32 GB of DDR4 3600 (DDR5 isn't worth the extra). This will give you an opportunity to upgrade to 13th gen later for cheap second hand. I would also look at a new PSU 520 is pretty low I would want at least 650W.
