Question pc upgrade

hi friends, i want to update my cpu, i have a gtx 1650 and a ryzen 3 2200g, i want to update the cpu to a r5 5500,but i have a gigabyte a320mh and a psu of 500w, do i need to update the psu and the mother too??

SSD/HDD: one hdd and i want to put an m.2 of 512gb
GPU:gtx 1650
PSU: 500 w

Then you should be able to support the upgrade if that is all that you are changing. What make and model power supply?

it`s a tc army 500w bronze plus

You could perform the CPU upgrade with no other changes , but I would look into a decent PSU in the near future.
