PC upgrades. Need advice.

Hey i currently have a slightly older costum built pc.
The current specs are:
cpu- core 2 duo e8500..
motherboard-asus p50pro.
memory-4gb 800mhz
powersupply-1000.
antek 900 case.
graphics card-nvidia 560ti.

I want to upgrade my pc to newer specs for games such as battlefield 4. Im thinking of just changing the motherboard, cpu and memory. But my budget hopefully will only be the sub $500(the less the better)
these are the components i was thinking.
motherboard-Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3
cpu-fx6300 amd
and then just 8 gigs of fast memory.
What would you guys suggest. would this increase my proformance by alot?
