i want to upgrade my computer to a ddr4 system with a better processor so i was looking into getting the i7-6700k and as it turns out i dont really know anything about ddr4 motherboards so i am kind of hoping i can post the parts list here and someone who knows a bit more about it then i do can help me out and if possible i would like to keep the budget as close to 600$ usd as possible for the processor, ram, motherboard, and cpu cooler as well as a fairly cheap case as well which as it turns out is another thing that i dont know much about. and heres that parts list. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Gsg9Cy

Check and tell me the cooler height clearance of your case, if it's 161mm or above, get the H5 Ultimate instead.

What do you mean?
The motherboard determines RAM speed support, and yes, it will make a difference depending on the application.
All DDR4 RAM runs natively at 2133MHz, so it doesn't matter unless using a DDR3 board.
Higher frequency RAM can help in some games and drastically improve render times etc.

Current Setup.

CPU: amd fx 6100
Motherboard: asrock 960GM-GS3 FX
Ram: corsair vengeance 2x8 1866 mhz
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW
PSU: EVGA 600b
Main Drive: Kingston Hyperx Savage 240GB

trying to stay as close to 600$ for the cpu, motherboard, ram and cpu cooler and if anyone knows of any good full size towers that are on the cheaper side leave a suggestion. l
