Hello all,

Im looking to upgrade my pc but as i struggle with the budget i'm planning to upgrade one thing per month or something like that.

I have a Intel i7-4770s @3.10 GHz up to @3.90 GHz; 1151 socket H87; 8gb ram; Nvidia GTX 760.

For now I'm looking to upgrade my ram to 16gb and to do so, I think i should upgrade my motherboard first but I'm having trouble to match compatibilities since I lack knowledge.

Thank you in advance and best regards

why are you trying to upgrade any particular reason ?
also we need more details (make and model) about your power supply, motherboard, hard drive.
you could use SPECCY and capture the main screen and paste it here to make it easier
or
Glary Utilities (free version) https://www.glarysoft.com/glary-utilities/
and give us a copy of the details of your system

like in this example

top of my head
I would make ram at 16GB (get fastest your motherboard can handle )
I would get a SSD to move the OS on it and use current HDD as Data Drive
I would upgrade the video card to a 1060 3GB/6GB or maybe RX 480 for better 1080p gaming.

I do have an ssd with OS installed, i just want to upgrade my ram to 16gb like you said, but motherboards with 1150 socket are descontinuated and that makes me affraid of spending money on another 8gb of DDR3 ram...

But anyway as soon as i arrive home i'll print the system and upload it here

So, above this is the link to the uploaded image of my specs from the program you gave me, but it don't identify my motherboard... But I'm pretty sure it is this one : https://www.google.pt/search?q=intel+h87&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=6LLLCK8iDRaAjM%253A%252CxrHlN1OxZbEUhM%252C_&usg=AI4_-kRfxSyxfWCRRAHIgesS03TPpL9VoQ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGpp-qwcDeAhVjJ8AKHX0bBpUQ9QEwB3oECAYQBg#imgrc=snyhI35TC0tnRM: - an Intel H87 1150 socket...

Yes it is, but I have upgraded so far with an ssd, gtx760 and 650w power supply

Understood, well after reviewing the user manual found at https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M51AC/HelpDesk_Manual/
it would seem you case is large enough to fit any video card inside, though I would still consider measuring the space for the video slot area.

that you have a 650w PSU is good news as it will permit you to have pretty much most video cards installed (as long as you have at least 2x 6pin cables.)
so since you have an SSD, I still say

based on https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M51AC/specifications/

I would make ram at 16GB (preferably 2x8gb 1600mhz dual channel pair. but 2x8gb 1333mhz dual channel would work)

I would upgrade the video card to a 1060 3GB/6GB or maybe RX 480 for better 1080p gaming.
this depends on your video monitor you have on your computer, no point of buying a GTX1080 for example if your monitor only does 1080p/60hz

Thanks i will change the case because it isn't large enough... So you think there's no need to change the motherboard for now?

I think i will buy the case and the 8gb slot then... After that i will see the graphic card but my monitor is 70hz at low resolutions i think... That means that at 1080p it's 60hz... On the other hand it has 1 m/s response time so i think it's not that bad for now...
