Pc VERY slow

All of a sudden about a week ago, i started to notice a change in my pc's performance.
It takes much longer to boot up.
When i scroll down a page its all jumpy and laggy, same with typing.
When i open and close a window instead of dissapearing i can see it fading out.
However it seems to be running games perfectly fine, once loaded.
In the image below you can see spotify fading out instead of minimizing instantly.

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
4gb Ram
AMD radeon hd 6800 series
intel i5-2500k 3.3ghz

Do a full virus and spyware update and scan. Changes in behavior like that usually has a source.

I would also check to see if your HD is fragmented as well. I also use AVG clean up to keep the number of programs in the background at a minimum. There are plenty of free options as well such as C-cleaner. That's the trouble with PCs they can get really clogged up.

Did you reserved windows 10? it might be downloading in the background.

i did reserve windows 10, however youd think it would be sorted by now, pcs been like this for days.

Virus scan found nothing, doing a disk defrag and cleanup as we speak.

How about a registry clean? How many running programs do you have. That could really slow you down.
