pc vs console

Solution

What is "better" that you are talking about? The video quality options would likely be higher, but you can't really compare a computer to a console, they both have a different setup for gaming, one is designed to use a controller, the other a keyboard and mouse. It's like asking if a SUV is better than a motorcycle, they are made for different types of travel even though both will move you along at a fast speed.

I actually can't stand to play Skyrim because it was made for a console controller and the PC controls are so horrible that I can't even play the game due to how the thing uses a moue in one spot then needs a keyboard to click something in...
Short answer : Get a PS4 over that pc . Long answer : With a pc you get : 1) More utilities than a console ( editing , workstation , generally more than just a gaming station ) , 2) much better offers pricing-wise ( steam is a perfect example with summer coming ) , 3 )being able to choose whether you want visuals or fps by adjusting your game settings . And a few will argue better performance .

With a console you are getting : 1) simplicity ( updates , plug n' play etc etc . And yes doing that yourself on pc isn't harder , i agree . However some people just don't want to go through the process , and i respect that ) , 2 ) exclusives , especially now with Uncharted 4 getting great reviews all over the place . Of course if you prefer xbox exclusives that's your choice . 3 ) Safety on the department of game optimisation since generally nowadays game developers aren't really fond of pc . 4 ) Most importantly : In this price and against this pc the console will have better performance simply because with the pc it's not always sure you will have a fluid experience with much eye-candy graphically wise .

So all in all , if you want to enter pc gaming i would reconmend wait a little longer and get a better gpu . If you can't wait i would tell you to go for a PS4 because it is more powerful than an Xbox ONE and its exclusives are really well received by many reviewers .

A PC is way better than a console, because it offers a lot of things that a console (PS4) can't do. It can easily outperform a ps4.
Moreover, where are games for ps4 made? PC! So, in PC, you can do anything you want to. Office stuff to high end gaming. So, buying a PS4 can be a mistake. However, your rig can offer good performance but the same performance can be delivered by a PS4 with better quality, but if you improve your gpu, PS4 is nothing before your rig.

So, a PC is better than any console you want to compete!

Pcs can use gamepad controllers too?

I used to play skyrim and its loads better on the PC due to the better graphics and loading times (and mods), just gotta use a controller.

Yes you can use a controller with it, but I hate playing games with one unless they just need one or two buttons to hit. I just don't use them at all so not used to one. If it's a PC game, make it for use with PC controls and interface not some half baked combination of console and PC. Sticking with Dragon Age, at least it runs like a computer game. It's like someone making an automatic car but instead of fully automatic they still had a clutch you had to push when the car wanted to change gears.

Your living in the past mate, tons of games are designed to use a xbox controller or similar on the pc, its a valid configuration. PC controls dont just mean keyboard and mouse.

We CAN connect a ps4, xbox one, xbox 360 and ps3 controllers to a PC, dont you know that?

Yes you can but for a "PC" game the interface should be setup to be used with a mouse and keyboard. I have Skyrim for the XBOX 360 also, the interface is horrible on the PC. Like trying to use Windows 8.

PC are worlds ahead of consoles in terms of features. However, the features a console offers for entertainment can't be beat, the blu ray play back and OS is $220 alone if you're building a custom PC. That's $80 left for CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU, case, motherboard, keyboard, mouse.

It's just bad to compare console to PC, because the extra features on PC only matters to those that use them. The fact that they exist is irrelevant if the user won't use them.
