PC wakes from sleep when I turn on the light

Exactly, just what you read.

When I switch on or off the light of my room my pc wakes from sleep.
This affects the power arriving to my PSU I guess because my PC also freezes with the GPU mounted on but works when GPU is not mounted.

What should I do?

Would a surge protector help?
