Question Pc was running fine, then pixelated blocks appeared then suddenly a black screen

I don't exactly know how to explain this, I was doing my usual load of work on the computer when suddenly pixelated blocks appeared over the screen, maybe half hour later I came back to my pc and my screen was black, the pc was still fully powered fans were still running like normal, does this mean my gpu is dead? (when restarting the pc the graphics seem normal but when it comes to booting windows it doesn't appear) I would usually do diagnostics myself but I'm very sick atm and don't have energy to lift the tower etc.
